I am a Central American creative thinker and digital enthusiast. I am interested in the language, politics, gender, and digital humanities. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in the track of Hispanic Sociolinguistics at the Program in Latin American, Iberian, and Latino Cultures (LAILAC) and a Digital Fellow at CUNY Graduate Center. In this institution, I obtained a Certificate in Interactive Technology and Pedagogy. I am working on a digital dissertation that intertwines linguistic geography and feminist linguistics.
Before moving to the United States, I obtained a bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Philology and a Master’s in Linguistics at the University of Costa Rica. There I researched the institutional language policy for the use of gender-fair language and worked with the Center of Research and Studies on Women on the topic. Additionally, I taught language courses to national and international students and worked as a proofreader for academic journals.
